Student opportunities and activities
At Narraweena Public School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.
Our programs may include:

Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Band program
Students may join our band program from Year 3 as an extra-curricular opportunity. Rehearsals take place before school or at lunch time. Parents/carers arrange music tuition outside of school.
Strings ensembles
Students may join our string ensembles as an extra-curricular opportunity. Rehearsals take place before school or at lunch time. Parents/carers arrange music tuition outside of school.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
Inter School Sport
Students in Years 3 -6 have the opportunity to be selected to represent the school for weekly sport. Teams are selected based on interest and skill level. Our school participates in inter school sport competitions each Friday for Summer (Terms 1 and 4) and Winter (Terms 2 and 3).

Kindergarten students settle into school quickly with the help from a caring Year 6 buddy!
Student Leadership Team
Year 6 students are elected by their peers to take on the roles of School Captains, Vice-CaStudent Representative Council (SRC)
