Narraweena is proud of its links to other educational bodies. We have links locally through our Northern Beaches Learning Alliance.
Narraweena is a member of the Northern Beaches Learning Alliance (NBLA) formed in 2008. This community of schools comprises local primary schools, together with the five campuses of the Northern Beaches Secondary College.
Central to the NBLA are the project-based learning initiatives undertaken jointly by primary and secondary schools. Students from primary schools and high schools are linked in mentoring partnerships. STEM initiatives (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) lessons promotes hands-on, problem solving activities that see students tackling real world problems and becoming creative and critical thinkers.
Through the NBLA, Professional Learning opportunities are made available to teaching staff. On the Term 2 School Development Day a conference is held for over 200 staff of the twelve NBLA primary schools.
