HAVE YOU ENROLLED YET FOR 2025?

Please come to the school office to collect an enrolment pack or complete a form online as soon as possible. Communication regarding orientation sessions will be sent via email, which we can only do once your child is enrolled. 

ENROLMENT

Thank you to all families that have completed their online enrolment forms. A reminder that the office must see physical copies of your identification to finalise your enrolment and place your child at Narraweena for 2025.

NEWSLETTER INFORMATION

Each fortnightly school newsletter includes evidence-based information, activities, and strategies to implement at home to assist with a positive transition to school for your family. These resources are created by the Department of Education and are linked to the Early Years Learning Framework. Please utilise these at your own discretion and do not hesitate to contact our Relieving Early Stage 1 Assistant Principal, Ryan Wearne, via our school email. 

Learning every day in every way through play is a five-part podcast series targeted at families, with a focus on how learning happens at home. The Early Learning team discuss how families can support children’s learning during play and everyday routines.

TEDDY BEARS' PICNIC

On Wednesday 18 September, we will be having our Teddy Bears' Picnic. This is a chance for your child to spend some time in the school grounds with other children who could be starting Kindergarten next year. Bring along a teddy, picnic rug and some morning tea. 

Your child will participate in some activities run by our student leaders, and you can meet other Narraweena PS families. Please enter the school grounds through the McIntosh Road gate where you will be directed to the school oval. 

The Teddy Bears' Picnic will run from 9:30-10:30am. We look forward to seeing you there.

KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION

Our Kindergarten orientation sessions will be held on Thursday 31st October, Wednesday 6th November and Tuesday 12th November. Each session will run from 9:30-10:30am and will begin in our school hall. During the time your child is completing their orientation session, we will be running parent information sessions in the hall.

The parent information topics will be:

  • Thursday 31st October - Information about the beginning of school and the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. This session will be run by our Relieving Early Stage 1 (Kindergarten) Assistant Principal, Ryan Wearne. 
  • Wednesday 6th November - Literacy at Narraweena PS and how you can assist your child in developing their literacy skills at home. This session will be run by our Assistant Principal: Curriculum and Instruction (APCI), Cara Maguire.
  • Tuesday 12th November - numeracy at Narraweena and how you can assist your child in developing their literacy skills at home. This session will be run by our Assistant Principal: Curriculum and Instruction (APCI) Cara Maguire.
